How do you choose a company to represent out of all of them out there?  And, what is it that you should be looking for, besides a strong compensation plan, in a network marketing company?

Well, to start with the company should should provide a product or service that people already use so you don't have to try to create a need.  This is very important for ease of the sell as well as for your sanity of mind.  And, what I think is actually most important about the product or service of companies - is it a product or service that you and others can be passionate about?

Keep in mind that what you may be or feel passionate about, some people may not feel passionate about.  However, it should be something that many people already use or do and they may at least get excited about if you can save them money and/or give them better quality or a better experience with or at.

Today I would like to focus on what it is that separates your potential for success in network marketing from possible failure or burnout which can ultimately lead to failure.

It’s not just about your mindset, but that does have a lot to do with it, however, your mindset is critical to your success.  As far as the mindset, the important piece here is to keep it open and not to have the ‘I can do it by myself’ frame of mind.

What I mean is, you need to be open to advice, new thoughts and instruction from your sponsor and others in your upline.  You are in business for yourself in network marketing, but you’re not by yourself, so don’t ignore the tools and resources available.

It is said that up to 97% of network marketing companies are successful, but up to 97% of the members of these network marketing companies fail or quit.  So, only 3% of the companies that enter network marketing fail, but only 3% of the members that join network marketing companies are successful.  Interesting, isn’t it?

A large part of why 97% of the members fail or quit is because they have too much pride and ‘will make it on my own’.  After all, they are smart and they know they are smart – they’ve always excelled in the jobs they’ve had working for others and they will figure this out and be successful in their own business.  Problem is; they over analyze the business and this way of thinking is simply making it too hard.  As they say, don’t reinvent the wheel.

So how do you do it?  Well, what do great athletes do?  The answer is short and simple - they listen to and follow the instruction of their coaches.

Why are you interested in network marketing?  Is it the lure of working from home, having freedom of time, freedom of money, being self reliant, becoming rich and famous?  Joining a network marketing companydoes havegreat appeal: It can provide all of the above, not necessarily all of the above for everyone, but it has and does do all of those and more.  It allows you to work part-time, gives you an opportunity to build residual income and you become a small business owner - consult your accountant or tax professional for information on tax advantages.

Those who have become successful in multi level marketing/network marketing will testify that it is only through the result of hard work, determination, persistence and passion.  With that goes training, prospecting and over coming obstacles and objections.

The idea of network marketing is really simple. Instead of securing a business location with all the overheads and selling a product or products to people that may wander into your shop, you work from home, network with others who would also like to work from home and you create a business organization that can literally reach thousands of people.

The key, to start with, is to find a company that offers a product or service that you are or can be passionate about and that you know others are already using the product or service.  It's hard enough to get your business organization started, you certainly don't want to also have to create a need for your product or service.

Why do you want to participate in a network marketing company?  Or is it that you are already in one and you are looking for more help, tools or resources to grow your business?
